About St.Art
A performance built on movement, emotion, imagery, euphoria, anger, and triumph. Sport as a doorway to themes that touch us all — whether we love it or despise it.
What does the path to a dream look like? What runs through the mind a second before the starting shot? What does it feel like to return after an injury — when everything hurts and nothing works? When does an athlete want to be alone? And when do they feel truly abandoned?
We do sport to find something. Balance. Meaning. Creativity. Silence in the mind. We do it to push past our limits. To reach the peak. To feel like gods — even just for a moment. We do it to fall. And to rise. Again and again. Even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts.
St.art is a new performance
by Cirk La Putyka, premiering in September
2025 after years
of research at the intersection of sport and art.
Production
Directed and conceptually developed by the company's creative team, it was created in collaboration with the Athens-based studio RootlessRoot, along with Czech and international experts in movement, training, and performing arts — including top athletes past and present such as Vavřinec Hradilek, Eva Adamczyková, Jakub Voráček, Lukáš Krpálek, Karel Poborský, and more.
Beyond Performance
At the center of the focus is sport — not just as performance, but as a physical, emotional, and metaphysical state. St.Art unpacks the athlete's journey as a deeply human, often existential process. Through body, image, movement, voice, and music, it explores what happens in the minds of those who give everything in pursuit of greatness.

Director’s Word
When I watched
my son’s trampoline career, I saw not only
victories but also falls.
When I watched
And I began to ask...
What is it all for?
Why does someone sacrifice their body, time, life?
This performance is about the athlete’s mind. About that moment before the start, when everything is decided. And maybe it’s also about why artists long for an anthem no one plays for them. What athletes feel at their peak is close to what we feel on stage — only sport has winners and losers. We just have a space filled with emotion in between.

The aim is to create distinctive, personal works into which company members pour their own identities, perspectives, and experiences, while challenging artistic conventions and breaking down barriers between genres and worlds.
In its 15-year history, the company has created more than 30 productions, collaborated with over 300 people from 25 countries, performed over 2,200 shows, and toured in 23 countries.
